Washington Leadership Conference

Each year, FFA members from all over the United States travel to

Washington, D.C. to attend the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC)

During the five-day event, attendees learn how to become effective leaders by teaching them to know their purpose, value people, take action, and serve others.

Students from Iowa will take a Charter bus to converge with the other members for this week long event in June.



June 11-17, 2012
Registration Deadline: April 30, 2012!
$965.00 Round Trip Fee Includes:
  • Hotel and Meals while in Washington, D.C.
  • Charter Bus Travel to and from Washington, D.C.

Bus reservations will be accepted on First Received, First Served Basis:

  • Seats on the trip are reserved in order of payment by check or purchase order.
  • Simply sending in names of the students does not reserve the seats.
  • Payments must be made by April 30, 2012.

Iowa FFA Foundation WLC Scholarship recipients will only need to pay the $265.00 travel fee.

Iowa FFA Alumni Scholarship recipients will only need to pay the $265.00 travel fee plus the difference from the $700 tuition price.

Following your registration, conduct/health forms will be emailed to you that will need to be taken to Washington by your student.

WLC Bus Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation prior to May 1 – No Charge
  • Cancellation between May 1 and May 15 – Must pay travel cost
  • Cancellation after May 15 – Must pay 100% unless suitable replacement takes reserved spot
