Every year, FFA members exhibit their excellence in developing premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist the Iowa FFA Association in judging the work the FFA members have put forth. Opportunities will be posted here as they are made available.

Proficiency Award Judging - February 28, 2026

  • Judging will take place at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny
  • Registration will begin at 8:15 AM
  • Judging will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude by 2:30 PM
  • A light breakfast and lunch will be provided

National Chapter Award Judging - February 28, 2026

  • Registration will begin at 8:15 AM
  • Judging will start at 9:00 AM and conclude by 2:30 PM

Agriscience Fair Judging - March 2026

  • FFA Agriscience Fair applications will be scored by judges virtually prior to the Iowa FFA Agriscience Fair. The scores are used as part of the overall judging process along with the scores given on the day of the Iowa FFA Agriscience Fair.

State Science + Technology Fair Judging - March 26th-27th

  • Judging registration will take place at the ISU Alumni Center at Iowa State University.
  • FFA Agriscience Fair judging is Thursday, March 26th but ISU welcomes volunteers for both days.
  • Registration will begin at 7:00 AM with judging beginning at 9:00 AM in Hilton Coliseum. Judging will conclude by approximately 3:00 PM.

Career and Leadership Development Event Judging - April 20, 2026

  • Judging will take place at the Scheman Building in Ames
  • Registration will begin at 7:15 AM
  • Judging will begin between 8:00 AM 9:00 AM and conclude by approximately 2:30 PM for LDEs, Ag Communications Judging occurs from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM
  • Lunch will be provided for LDE judges, Ag Communications judges are provided a snack and refreshments.
