Northeast Vice President: Avery Hanaway

Avery is the daughter of Corey and Audrey Hanaway, and an older sister to her brother Carson. She grew up on a small farm just south of Independence. In high school, Avery was involved in Basketball, Cross Country, Track, Trap Shooting and Archery. She also participated in Student Council, 4-H and of course, FFA. She is currently a Freshman at Hawkeye Community College and plans to transfer to Iowa State to major in Agricultural Business and Agricultural Education. When Avery isn’t busy milking cows or doing chores you can find her with an iced coffee in hand, possibly hanging with friends, listening to Garth Brooks, or fishing with her dad. FFA has inspired Avery’s passion for agriculture and serving others. During this next year she hopes to serve and inspire FFA members to do the same!
